The Creative Edge Gallery in Castlegar has officially opened its doors! This brand new artist collective gallery is full of art and ready for the public to come feast their eyes. In this space, you can find the paintings of Karla Pearce, Sandra Donahue, Mirja Vahala, Joanne Cremer, Laurie Merlo, the jewellery of Dianne Leiskau, the photography of Linda Swanson, the fiber art of Tricia Rasku and the glasswork of Catherine White. All artwork is made locally right here in the Kootenays. For those that need to take a load off, the Gallery offers organic coffee, tea and cookies for its patrons. Art classes in painting and drawing are also being held at the Creative Edge Gallery and registration is ongoing. For artists that are looking to be published, Creative Edge Gallery is also a publishing house, the home of SKAT ( Some Kootenay Art Talk Magazine) as well as a publishing house helping local artists interested in getting their work out there in book format.
