Tip of the Week:

On the eve of the final Saturn opposite Uranus aspect, the synchronicities are apparent. Here in BC it is the HST. The sudden closure of the Nelson Daily News after 109 years came as a big shock to locals. Uranus has a way of acting suddenly. We are also in the wake of the Solar Eclipse on July 11, which upon closer examination hosts some rather emotional and dramatic triggers. Sunday July 25^th is the Full Moon in Aquarius. Fortunately, it is accompanied by more pleasant aspects that it is making. The Moon’s sign, aspects and phase reveal the tone of the mood on any given day. This fact is measurable but some basic understanding of how Astrology works, as in the ability to read an Astrological calendar, is required. (I teach people how to effectively read such a calendar, in person and as a webinar! If interested, please send me an email to know the date of the next class online.) Yet, the bigger plot is based on the sign and aspects of the big and far planets especially. Not surprisingly, the aspects between the major planets are very powerful at this time and this trend will continue for some time to come, like the next 5 years… Although there will always be major planetary alignments, the ones active now and through to 2016 are very potent indeed! The knowledge that Astrology provides helps us to be more aware and in-tune with the cycles and assists us to set our intentions in accordance with ourselves and our ever changing world, which undergoes turbulent periods, like rapids on a river in the mountains. On a river float the rapids can be the most exciting and fun part, especially if your eyes are open.

Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20)

If you are not shaking the world in fact, you are planning to. Ready to make new commitments, you are willing to make all necessary efforts and do what it takes. Keeping an open mind in your communications may not be so easy these days, however. Meanwhile, with summer in full swing, you want to play. Balance work and duty with fun in the sun.

Taurus (Apr 20 – May 21)

Creative expressions close to home are your specialty. Improving, building, renovating, gardening, preserving, tending to your plants and pets and so on are favourite activities. You may be extra active in this regard these days. Making way for more quality time and hopefully some romance is on the rise as well. Investment and securing your position is a main focus.

Gemini (May 21 – Jun 21)

You have done the work now it is time to play. Finding the right mate(s) is the next consideration. Beyond simple pleasures, you want to bond and or make meaningful commitments to a more promising future. Expanding your scope of vision and list of friends will play on one another. Find your place in the world by holding space in your heart for your immediate network.

Cancer (Jun 22 – Jul 22)

Big changes are rolling in for everyone, perhaps especially you. You may feel a little intimidated and uncertain about your direction yet are feeling equally rebellious. Other power players on your stage require that you meet them on equal ground. If that means step up, do so, or down, as the case may be. Show courage and determination to do what you must to claim your power.

Leo (Jul 23 – Aug 23)

The Sun now in your sign marks a time for you to take new initiatives. It is likely that you have been putting out the feelers for the past couple of weeks anyway but now it is time to take deliberate action. Your willingness to learn is ideal. This includes asking good questions and following through on the information received. Forward march!

Virgo (Aug 24 – Sep 22)

Balancing inner with outer work is the call now. You have likely been very active out there but now it is time to exercise your executive more behind the scenes. Many new insight, realizations, epiphanies and/or wake-up calls are activating your focus. This trend will continue and increase yet. Acknowledge the power and position you have earned yet acknowledge issues as well.

Libra (Sep 23 – Oct 22)

Your executive is coming to the fore these days. These are powerful times and require your willingness to make changes in your usual approach. Other people and outer circumstances are pushing you to be more aware and to take calculated risks. Be willing to assert your authority and instruct or train others according to your goals and plans.

Scorpio (Oct 23 – Nov 21)

This is an interesting time for you. In the short term you are required to step out and to be seen and heard. In the long term you are destined to learn to get out of your own way. This means be willing to try new things let go of old patterns. Interestingly, the manner in which you may be in your own way includes not asserting yourself or being disciplined enough.

Sagittarius (Nov 22 – Dec 21)

A spirit of adventure has descended upon you. You may feel bold and exuberant and/or rebellious irreverent. Returns for past efforts are rolling in again and this time they will not cease for many months. If you have been diligent you may well get big returns. However, if you have been negligent, you may have quite a bit of work to do. A mix of both is also likely.

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19)

Who has what you want and need? Tapping the skills and resources of significant others may be on your mind. You are in the mood to assert your position, yet you probably cannot do it on your own. With big changes shaking your world close to home, this may be the perfect time to assert your position. Yet you may still be in the planning stages. List your allies.

Aquarius (Jan 20 – Feb 19)

Initiating new relationships is a central theme now. Avoid a casual approach at this time and be on the watch for tricksters and other players. Sometimes people want to win at all costs and if you are not careful you could be footing the bill on this one. Alternatively, be willing to learn and be trained. If advancing means dealing with a sergeant major type, cooperate.

Pisces (Feb 20 – Mar 20)

Creating more satisfaction in your daily routine and overall lifestyle is likely now. Health may well be a top priority. Deep changes in the overall quality and scope of your associations is part of the deal. Be willing to take care of your own needs first now. Habitual self-sacrifice can be more costly than you can afford. If and when you think ‘should’ look in the mirror.
