Reflecting upon the Olympics, they can be measured by the 12 Zodiac Signs. As is the case with all things, there is a bright side as well as a darker shadow side. Aries positively illustrates the pioneering determination to reach beyond established limits as in breaking world records. A ‘me first’ attitude is the negative. Taurus symbolizes the high levels of talent expressed by the athletes and performers. The downside is that while some benefitted financially, large debts have accrued for the many. Gemini represents the exchange of people, ideas and communications. Unfulfilled expectations leading to disappointments, as with frustrated athletes are the downside. Many will say that this Olympics has proven to be a big boost for Canada as a family nation. That not everyone in the ‘family’ agrees or shares the same feelings leading to divisions is the shadow. The international cultural tone of the Olympics is the plus of Sagittarius. The massive effort and cost for such a short lived event is a negative. The organizational abilities of those in charge of the games are the upside of Capricorn. The competitive edge and winner take all attitude reflects the shadow. The genius in design and engineering behind all the equipment and infrastructure is a high side of Aquarius. The paradoxical fact that corporate sponsors promoting unhealthy food choices dominate Olympic advertising is a shadow. The emphasis with winners honored with precious metal medals while people the world over are poor and starving is a denial that is a shadow of Pisces. The rich imagination of the ceremonies is a bright reflection.

Approaching authority figures and others with leverage is likely now. Networking, making plans, setting dates and working out the details of pending deals and agreements is featured. It is important that you take risks to take the initiative and vice versa. Brainstorming for ideas is likely yet so too is spreading yourself too thin. Manage your time effectively.

Cancer (Jun 22 – Jul 22)
New ideas, concepts and philosophies are dancing in your mind. Spiritual visions and heightened states of awareness are extra likely now. Whether by inspiration or necessity, you want to gather new tools and techniques and angles. Clearing space to focus on special projects is also likely.
